Sunday April 9, 2006 2-4PM

An Open Art Reception will be held for Jon-William Brown’s current exhibit ‘Newburyport; An American Perspective’, a digital art/photographic depiction of Newburyport both past and present, at ‘Stella’s of Middle Street’ on Sunday April 9, 2006 from 2-4 PM.. ‘Stella’ will be offering complimentary desserts while Jon-William introduces his latest ‘State Street Series’ featuring Newburyport classic landmarks such as the Rockfish and Fowles.

Special guests will be on hand including Ted Kyrios (Photo/Historian), Alex Adrian (Musician/Speaker), and Gregg Moss from the Yankee City Theater Project, who is producing a documentary theater presentation, ‘Newburyport 1956-2006; Searching for the Soul of the City’, at the Firehouse Center for the Arts on May 25-28th, 2006. These two projects are documenting Newburyport through pictures, stories, and experiences, for multi-media presentations and would like to hear from you! The receptions are an opportunity for Newburyport residents to interact with the artist, speakers, and directors of the projects.

The reception is in line of successive presentations throughout the city during the next couple months, including a ‘Grand Opening’ of Jon-William Brown’s gallery, Spirit of Newburyport at 49 Water Street, on April 29th during the first Newburyport Art Walk of the season.
